Life should be about feeling good, feeling beautiful & feeling happy- always. Not just when you reach that desired size, lose those 4 kilos, live in a better house, drive a better car one day, but now, right now. Life has so many amazing moments we might not find ourselves actively participating in because of how we might look or “think” we look more accurately. This insecurity can find a way to take over our mind, infiltrate our emotions and catch us when we least expect it. Self-consciousness is human nature at times but we can’t let it possess us to the extent that it does these days. We need to be confident, beautiful & strong women every chance we get. We must be captivating and not cast as the supporting role of our own lives. We can’t sit and wait for the smaller waist to come and believe that when it does only then will I start feeling better about who I am. No, life doesn’t work that way. Let’s be happy now, take charge now! Stop staring at Instagram photos of women that literally spend their life in the gym or fantasizing over a body type that you can’t have because she might be 5 centimetres taller, have a different heritage, not carry weight in her hips or whatever it might be. We idolise too much, fantasize too often and in the end we become heartbroken when we look in the mirror.
I admit I’m guilty of it, but I hate it, I want to change it. I want to take control of my life again, realize there is NO one out there like me and start finding joy in everything. I want to be fit, but I also want to pig out on a pizza, a cheeseburger or a chocolate cake sometimes. I want to go to the gym but I also want to go on holiday and not stress about missing a few weeks of training. I want to enjoy every second of my life and fall in love with everything that life should be built on, not just my body but beauty of my mind as well. I want this blog to encapsulate all that female empowerment and focus on everything that makes us the strong beautiful women that we are. I will discuss fitness and health, give recipes and training routines but thats not all that I am, and not all that you are, so in addition to that there will be my favourite cheat meal restaurants, food I love to eat, the good & the bad, adventures I have with my friends & family, share motivation, inspiration, reviews & everything that makes life beautiful. ♥
