THE POWER OF FASHION.
◊
Have you ever put on an outfit that instantly made you feel beautiful?
This outfit, is so simple, yet made me feel like the best version of myself! I couldn’t wait to share it with you all.

I love fashion.
I love that clothes have the power to make you feel better about yourself.
There is nothing better than a truly flattering outfit to have in your wardrobe.
When clothes are tight it can be especially difficult to accomplish “flattering.” No matter what your size is, we all have things we would love to cover up and sometimes tight doesn’t help that.
This outfit is tight but works in all the right ways.
The skirt is high-waisted with a pencil cut that ends right above the knees, giving the illusion I am taller and leggier than I actually am. (I’m only 5’4 BTW) I always feel I have short stocky thick little legs, but this body con skirt paired with the crop top made me feel 6 feet tall!
This crop top is extra flattering for two reasons.
1. ) Sleeves. – I love a tight longer sleeve on a top. They make your upper arms look thinner, which gives you a flattering slimming effect over all.
2.) High Neck Line. – I hate showing my chest. Even my wedding dress I designed was a high neck. I don’t have a big chest so showing it off doesn’t give me that hour glass figure effect, covering it up does. It takes the focal point off my chest and brings it to my shoulders, which are wider than my waist, all of a sudden I get the illusion of an hourglass shape.

ALL TOGETHER NOW
Putting these two items together, the skirt starts at the smallest part of my body and the crop top ends directly above it, making my legs look long and my waist look particularly tiny, which means…. FLATTERING.

The jacket I used was pure fun. Normally this is something I would never pick out instinctually, but once I grabbed it as an accent I fell in love with it. It was such a fun POP of color and pattern to this outfit and the randomness of it actually makes it go with anything and everything. Unfortunately, this pattern isn’t available outside South Africa anymore but I linked to the most updated version below.

The hat and boots are my staples, used in so many looks because there is nothing like a beautiful hat and stunning pair of black heeled boots to make you feel super chic and pull your look together.
