If you follow me on Instagram, I have mentioned how I try to go vegan one day a week as one of my weekly “goals.”
Here is the thing though, I am a full blooded Texan and we grow up with meat from the moment we can eat solids, it is just the culture. Don’t judge me.
Because of this, I am used to a meat protein source being the center focus of every meal; so when I try to go vegan and just eat veggies, it feels like something is missing. Enter…. FAKE MEAT. haha
No, that sounds weird, but to be honest, before FRY’S approached me to make and test one of their recipes, I had already been buying and using FRY’S meat free vegan products for years, so I was actually just super excited to give it a go.
They sent me this beautiful hamper filled with all the ingredients to make these Meatless Mushroom and Fry’s Chicken Burgers.
NOW HOLD UP. I legit haven’t stopped thinking about these bad boys since I have made them. In fact I made 2 more for myself the very next day because it was THE BEST chicken burger I have ever had… not MEATLESS chicken burger… but Chicken Burger in general, meatless or meat full. HEAVEN.
Take a look.
HERE IS A RUN DOWN OF ME BUILDING MY BURGERS!
Excuse the quality…. from Instagram story.

RECIPE TIME!!!
Anyway, I just had to share this recipe with you guys, because everyone should know what HEAVEN tastes like. So I wrote them and asked if they would send me a PDF of the recipe so that I could put it up and give to you!
Side Note:
I had to make a couple changes, like cook everything on my Le Creuset skillet and I also had to put the chicken burgers in the oven to cook first and then finished off on my skillet on the stove top so it got those cool grill lines haha! **My braai was out of gas that day**
DOUBLE Side Note:
For anyone reading this recipe that isn’t South African, a BRAAI or “To Braai” essentially means BBQ or Grill! Like a Weber grill!
Also, I only used one patty per burger, but do whatever the Hell you please!! ♥
ANYWAY, Hope you give it a go & if you LOVE it… let me know!
