COLOR OF THE SEASON: DUSTY ROSE
My husband and I have this little running joke.
Every time we talk about our next trip we want to take and where we should go, he looks over at me and says… “Let me guess…EUROPE.” …… And even though I always roll my eyes, it’s only cause he knows me so well. ;-P
GUILTY: I just can’t get enough of Europe!
I love roaming and meandering through the little cobblestone streets and alley ways. Everything feels so quaint, old and romantic. I feel like every wall and building has a story to tell. A whole life lived in every stone I walk across. The colorful paint chipping off the old stucco buildings never looks messy, but perfectly worn down as if to reveal the secrets that hide inside the walls.
Dusty Rose reminds me of Europe.
The burnt red stucco walls that line the villages in Italy. Reflections of sunsets in the Tuscan valley bouncing off the dusty farmhouses.
Pure Romance.
Every time I paint my nails or throw on a sweater in this shade, I feel like I am back in the foothills of Italy looking for the next tasty pasta dish to enjoy with a perfectly robust glass of red wine.
Isn’t that what fashion is all about really, taking you to a place in your mind that lets you live through the day embodying on the outside what you are feeling on the inside.
